I really appreciated my time with HHREC and everything I was able to learn through this experience. Learning how nonprofits operate, and how it plays a huge role in the sector of public health was very eye opening. I also found creating data reports valuable, as it helped me better understand how different factors impact specific populations. One of my favorite experiences was attending the SSK Women’s Empowerment Conference. It was amazing to see how community outreach and tabling can foster meaningful connections with professionals in social work and related fields!
